Our Mission Statement

United Way of Anderson County improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community to advance the common good. We focus on Youth Development, Self-Sufficiency, and Senior & Health Services—the building blocks for a good life and strong community.

Our Vision Statement

United Way of Anderson County is a healthy and growing organization that addresses real needs by supporting programs and efficient operations that empower partners and contribute to stronger, safer, healthier, and more sufficient and sustainable communities. We know that diversity and inclusion are essential to a strong community: we strive to support and include all individuals, regardless of race, religion, gender, gender expression, ancestry, disability, or sexual orientation.

Our Work

United Way supports the agencies that support you. We assess the needs of the community in our primary impact areas and partner with the government, local businesses, schools, and area nonprofits to identify creative solutions to community issues. We go beyond temporary fixes to help create lasting change and efficiency in the organizations we serve. Our agencies provide a range of services, from legal advice, income-tax assistance, and family mediation services to early education, adult care, and housing aid.
